Lighting Control Solutions
iAutomation is proud to supply the world’s premier sensor products to the Australian market, including BEG products from Germany. All BEG products in iAutomation’s lighting control product inventory are capable of stand-alone 230V control and mutually compatible according to universal KNX, DALI and BACnet protocols. In addition, iAutomation can also provide both Dynalite and C-Bus lighting controls systems.

World-class products, however, are just the beginning of iAutomation’s Lighting Control Solutions. Our in-house team of nearly two dozen highly qualified technical and engineering experts, appraises every project on a case-by-case basis, assessing each client’s precise needs in order to determine correct product specification, optimal sensor placement and configuration, as well as appropriate and user-friendly control functionality.

iAutomation understands that aftersales service is just as important as the performance of systems at handover. A range of monthly and quarterly service contracts is now available to property managers to ensure systems remain in peak condition, and to ensure that new and old personnel are familiar with full operating procedures and capabilities.
HVAC Solutions (BMS)
iAutomation can interface and control HVAC systems throught direct systems development or via sensor and lighting control interface. The protocols used range from KNX, BACnet and Schneider BMS systems. iAutomation’s staff have a strong background in BMS systems with both technical and engineering experience utilising KNX, Tridium and Optergy systems.

Welcome to the world of complete end-to-end solutions in Energy System design, configuration, delivery, and management. iAutomation established its Energy Management division in 2013 in recognition of a clear market need for detailed energy metering, analysis and management in commercial facilities.

This passion towards energy has since grown into broader applications of energy such as Electric Vehicle (EV) charging systems for commercial applications and microgrid systems for residential and commercial developments to improve resilience and energy availability of new residential developments.

This is an exciting time to be involved in energy: effective and efficient energy systems are the ‘starting point’ of any high-value, high-performance asset – iAutomation specialises in new energy storage (battery) technologies, strategized energy applications, optimised energy efficiency when linked to iAutomation Controls sensor-based systems, as well as tailored analytical tools to further refine energy savings.

Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) Solutions

Meeting a building’s maximum demand requirements versus the energy availability is becoming a challenging proposition. Issues such increased EV charging installations and closure of grid coal powered generators are contributing to this challenge. Through the application of BESS, a building’s peak energy demand can be reduced as well as its energy costs. This reduction is achieved by storing energy into the BESS when the daily grid energy cost is low (availability is high), and then discharging the BESS to the load when the grid energy is expensive (availability is low). In addition, BESS can increase the property’s energy resilience and reduces its reliance on back-up diesel generators. BESS can be supplied via large shipping containers through to small portable trailers.

EV Charging Solutions

Commercial property EV Charging solutions are become a major challenge for both installations and compliance with the new BCAR regulation AS….. Specifically, the energy consumed by EV charging must not exceed the available energy, yet it must also meeting the minimum demand for EV charging. iAutomation utilises a combination of Dynamic Load Management Systems (DLMS), Energy Monitoring Systems (EMS) and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) to meet this energy challenge.  In addition, iAutomation offers full turnkey EV charging solutions including installation, 24/7 maintenance, Energy Billing Systems. Load management and provision of EV chargers.

Microgrids Solutions

The challenge of the grid energy systems is the reduction of grid generating assets such as coal powered generators and the increased need for the grid to provide energy for developing needs such as EV charging etc.  IAutomation has developed microgrid solutions that utilises its energy management expertise and applied to energy management across entire residential development projects. These solutions are a full turnkey solution incorporating the installation of batteries and solar assets installed to housing on the residential development plus microgrid control systems. This entire microgrid energy system is funded by iAutomation and the cost is recovered via buying and selling energy generated and stored within these assets.

Energy Monitoring System (EMS)

High-quality energy metering and assessment systems are vital tools for identifying the energy usage patterns of a structure (by whole building, zone, level or tenancy).

Data relating to energy consumption and behaviour allows property managers to pinpoint (and then remediate) poor-performing elements of a building such as inefficient heating and ventilation units or unwanted air infiltration.

In addition, accurate energy consumption data helps property managers satisfy a range of mandatory regulations such as the Australian Government’s Commercial Building Disclosure scheme, which requires owners of commercial office space (above 1,000m2) to disclose energy performance information whenever a property is sold or leased.

Demonstrably energy-efficient buildings are higher-value buildings due to: higher-quality tenants (including Federal Government tenants, whose office leases are subject to a National Green Leasing Policy); as well as the associated potential for elevated capital value based on premium tenancies.


Energy monitoring and management is the doorway to improved asset performance and value.
